ESTEPONA PORT

The port of Estepona is located 2km west of the old town of Estepona and only 5 minutes by car from the Bahia Holiday Apartment and only a 1 minute walk from the Balcon Holiday Apartment. Still a working fishing port you will find many restaurants that are serving the freshest fish dishes, as well as many other types of cuisine. Along with the many restaurants, you will find a number of bars for a good night out or just for a relaxing drink.

The light house of Estepona can be found towering over the east end of the port at Punto Doncela, a natural limestone headland. The lighthouse was built by Antonio Molina in 1863. The current 20m stone structure was completed in 1922 when French maker Barbier, Bernard & Turenne introduced a rotating glass mechanism. Now-a-days the lighthouse has 2 1000W halogen lamps.

The port of Estepona is host to a market every Sunday with stalls ranging from souvenirs to clothing. There are many possibilities for chartering boats (both sailing and motor) for either a few hours or days both privately or with groups.
